HotSync® operation problems

I cannot perform a HotSync® operation. What should I check to make sure I am doing it correctly?

,Check that the operating system of your computer is Windows® 98/ 98 Second Edition/Me/2000 Professional/XP.

,Make sure that the cradle is connected securely to the computer.

I performed a HotSync operation, but one of my applications did not synchronize.

,Click the HotSync Manager and choose Custom. Check that the correct conduit is active.

I am using Outlook® as my PIM, but I cannot perform a HotSync operation.

,Click the HotSync Manager and choose Custom. Check that the correct conduit is active.

,Check that the correct conduit is installed. Reinstall the HotSync Manager and make sure the correct conduit is selected.

,Make sure that Intellisync Lite is installed. See “Step 4: Installing the Palm Desktop for CLIÉ software on your computer” in the Read This First manual for details.

I cannot launch the HotSync Manager.

,Make sure that you are not running another program, such as a network or facsimile applications, that uses the serial port you selected in the Setup dialog box.

,Back-up the Palm Desktop for CLIÉ software, uninstall it, then reinstall it.

,Make sure that Local USB is selected.
