Nothing happens when you press rREC.
•Make sure the tape is not at its end.
•If you want to record from other equipment, select the correct source with the function buttons on the unit. If you select the input source with the remote commander function buttons, the remote commander may be switched to control other
equipment. Make sure the remote commander is set for the unit’s VCR control if you use rREC on the remote commander.
If you want to record TV programs, press VHS TUNER on the remote commander, then select a channel.
Timer recording The timer does not operate.
•Check that the clock is set.
•Make sure a tape has been inserted.
•Check that the safety tab has not been removed.
•Make sure the tape is not at its end.
•Make sure a program has been set for timer recording.
•Make sure you press TIMER REC ON/OFF to set the unit to timer recording standby.
•Make sure the current time has not already passed your timer settings.
•Check that the cable box is turned on.
•Check that the DSS receiver is turned on.
•The clock stops if the unit is disconnected from the wall outlet for more than one hour. Reset the clock and timer.
Other VCR problems
A tape cannot be inserted. | • Check that a tape isn’t already in the tape compartment. |
