System Tray Icons

A system tray icon will appear in the bottom-right corner of your desktop when you launch the Wireless Connection Manager application. The tray icon provides easy access to the Wireless Connection Manager’s main window and the card’s connection status.

The following icons indicate the card’s connection status:

The following icons indicate the card’s connection status: - The card is currently connected to the network.

 - The card is currently connected to the network. [flashing] - The card is in the process of connecting to the network.

 [flashing] - The card is disconnecting from the network. - The card is connected to the network but in a dormant state.

 - The card is not connected to the network. [flashing] - The card is disconnecting from the network.

Manual background - The card is not connected to the network.

If the Wireless Connection Manager window is not visible, double-click on the tray icon to open it. (To set the window to always be visible, see “Keeping the Wireless Connection Manager Window Always Visible” on page 22.)

You can control the operation of the Wireless Connection Manager by right-clicking on the tray icon, and selecting an action from the pop-up menu (see Figure 27).
