Paperfeeding

If cut sheet paper (withoutASF) is not feeding smoothly, check the

following:

Is the paper release lever

Is the paperguide in place
andvertical?
Arethe left andright guides
tooclose together?
Isthe ASF selected with the
MemorySwitch settin~?
Areyou trying to feed paper
usingthe frontpanelbuttons

illuminated?
Is thepaper toothick?
Areforms jammingbetween
printing surface and the
platen?
Possible remedy
Setthe release lever to the ~position.
Thepaperguideshouldbeinplace andverticallyforcut
sheetsto feed smoothly.
If the left and right guides me too close together, the
paperwill not feed smoothly. Move them alittle further
auartto allow the pauer feed freely.
If it is,then deselect it.
Youcan only feed paper in this way the printer is off-
line. Setthe printer off-line and then feed paper.
Thereare limits to the thickness of paper that can be fed
in thisway. Trv with thinner uamx.
Cleanthe surface of theplatenroller with acloth barely
dampendcdwith alittle alcohol.
