PRINTERCONTROLCOMMANDS

Theprinterhas twoemulationmodes:Standardmodeand IBMmode.
Instaridardmode,the printeremulatesthefunctionsofthe EpsonEX-800/
EX-1OOO.In IBM mode, the printer emulatesthe IBM Propnnter III.
Additionalcommandcodesareincludedasasupwset oftheseemulations.
Theemulationis changed bymeans ofMemory Switchmode.When the
Emulationoptionissetto[STANDARD],theprinterwillbein standardmode,
andwhen [IBM],the printerwillbe in IBM mode(see Chapter6).It is not
possibletochangethe emulationbymeansof softwarecontrol.
Thischapterdescribestheprinter’scontrolcommands.Somecommandsare
commonto both thestandard andIBM modes.In the descriptionsof the
commands,all commands will given by functions.The name of each
commandisfollowedby atable liketheone below:

trolcharactersareenclosedin pointedbrackets:For
example,<1>meanscharactercode 1.
Givesthecommandin decimalcharactercodes.
Givesthecommandinhexadecimalchamctercodes.
Parametersforwhichvaluesmustbe suppliedareindicatedby italicletters
suchas n, mord.
