Youcan usethe RS-232SerialInterfacewith theoptionalSerial Interface

Cartridge(IS-8XL),or extend the printbuffer by installing theoptional

BufferedParallelInterfaceCartridge(IP-128XL),insteadof the Standard

InterfaceCartridge.

Ifyou wanttousethe SerialInterfaceCartridge,settheDIPswitchesonthe

boardbeforeinstallit to the printer.

1. Tumoffthepowerswitch anddisconnectthepowercordfromthepower

source.

2. Disconnecttheinterfacecableif attached. ●

3. Compmsthe projectedpartsontheright andleft,andpullthe Standard

InterfaceCartridgetoxemoveitfmm theprinter.

4. InserttheoptionalInterfaceCartridgesecurelyintoplace.Ifitisnotfully

inserted,theprinterwill notproperlyprint.

5. Connecttheinterfacecableto the connector.
