You should see a list of devices, similar to the example below, specific to the adapter:

5.Type the following to run the self-test using the test command:

ok test device path

The following tests are run when the test command is executed:

■ce register test

■serdes internal loopback test

■link up/down test

If the test passes, you see these messages:

ok test /pci@1f,0/pci@1/network@4

ce register test --- succeeded. Internal loopback test -- succeeded. Link is -- up

If the card is not connected to a network, you see the following messages:

ok test /pci@1f,0/pci@1/network@4

ce register test --- succeeded. Internal loopback test -- succeeded. Link is -- down

ok

6.For more robust test results, set the diag-switch?to true and reissue the tests as shown in Step 5 above.
