| mum 8 speed and CD-ROMs at maximum 24 speed. It |
| writes CD-R at up to 8 speed and CD-RW at up to 8 speed. |
| A Mode Control switch turns power to the CD-RW/DVD- |
| ROM drive on and off so you can use the drive as a stand- |
| alone audio CD player. See Chapter 4, Operating Basics, |
| for details. For reading, this drive supports the same |
| formats as the DVD-ROM drive. |
Display
The computer’s LCD panel supports high-resolution video graphics. The screen can be set at a wide range of viewing angles for maximum comfort and readability.
Built-in Thin-film transistor color LCD is available in four sizes:

Keyboard
Built-in 85 keys or 86 keys, compatible with IBM enhanced keyboard, embedded numeric overlay, dedicated cursor
control,and keys.
AccuPoint II
Built-in A pointing device, the AccuPoint II, in the center of the keyboard and control buttons at the base of the keyboard enable control of the on-screen pointer and scrolling of windows.
Power
Battery pack The computer is powered by one rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack.
