You
can
program the unit
to
record up

12
programs
within
a
month
in advance. Dailyor weekly program
recordings
are
also available.
Beforerecording, make sure
Connectthe external tuner
to
eitherL 1 or
L2
and set it
to
output
audio/video signals when
it
comes
to
the time
you want
to
start recording.
Do notchange the external tuner's channel while you
are
recording.
You
cannotwatch one channel and
record anotherat the same time.
Set
the clock before setting atimerprogramming.

enough recordable space or

programmedchannel for timer recording 2minutes before the programmed starting time, and the recording in
pr9gress(for VCR)will be canceled
UNLESS
theirrecording channels are the
same.
Iftheir
recording channelsare .

same,
the
timer
recording willstart
without
canceling
the
recording currentlyin progress. In this
case,
the
recording
of
the
same channel willbe made
on
both
DVD
and
VCR.
You cannotmake aprogram whose recording
time
exceeds
12
hours.
Cancel thetimer-standby mode
by
pressing [TIMER
SET]
beforeoperation for either
DVD
or
VCR.
When finished
operating, press
[TIMER
SET]
to
resume
the
timer-standbymode.
In
the
timer-standbymode, you
can
turn onthe power and use
the
component
(VCR
or
DVD)
which
is
not
currentlytimer-programmed.
