Video Profile 1-4

Encode Type: Select one of H264, JPEG, or MPEG4 encoding from the drop-down menu. Profile 4 is always set to MPEG4.

FPS: Select the FPS (Frames per Second). 30 is the maximum (best quality).

better image quality but requires more network bandwidth to transmit the image.

JPEG quality: If the encoding type selected above is JPEG, then in this menu the quality of the JPEG video can be selected.

RTSP URL: Use this setting to configure a suffix that is added to your cameras RTSP address. For example for a camera with IP set to 192.168.10.30 and RTSP set to 3gpp the entire URL to access this video profile from the camera is: rtsp://192.168.10.30/3gpp

Notes

The following Video Profiles are used for special purposes:

Video Profile 3 for viewing the camera in non-IE browsers. This profile is always configured as

MJPEG.

Video Profile 4 is for viewing the camera over mobile devices. This profile is always set to use MPEG-4 encoding.

To obtain a better quality of video the frame size, frame rate and bit rates must be increased however this results in hight bandwidth utilization. For a mobile phone it is suggested to use 5 fps and a bit rate of 20 kbps to obtain and excellent balance of picture quality versus bandwidth utilization.
