DIP Switch Setting The 2-position DIP switch determines which RS-232 control signal, generated by the terminal, is used to select the A or B port. When the switch is in the up position, DTR is used; when in the down position, RTS is used.

Serial connection to B port

In this application, DTR is used with the switch in the UP position.
