When you select Render NTSC Closed Captions On Video (Figure 47), the CC Channel control selects which channel to render. The details of Closed Caption channels are beyond the scope of this description – refer to the EIA-608 standards document. But CC 1 is by far the most commonly used channel. Select CC 1 unless you have specific knowledge that you want to render another channel.

Render Logical White As

The control group Render Logical White As (Figure 48) maps white captions to a color other than white. Nearly all captioning content uses only the default color white. This feature is a proprietary extension to the Closed Captioning standard. This control causes white captions to appear in the selected color.

Captions in other colors are not affected.
