Conventionalbroilingis most successfulfor cutsof meat one to
twoinches thick,and is also suitablefor flatpieces of meat.

HighBroil

Withthis setting,heat radiatesat full powerfrom both broil
elements, locatedin the topof the oven cavity. Thedistance
betweenthe foodsand the broilelements determinesbroiling
speed.For fastbroiling, placefood as closeas two inchesfrom
thebroil element,or on the toprack. Fast broilingis bestfor
meatswhere "rareto medium"doneness isdesired. Usethis
settingfor broilingsmalland average cutsof meat.

MediumBroil

Withthis setting,inner and outerbroil elementspulseon and off
toproduce lessheat for slow broiling.For slow broiling,allow
aboutfour inchesbetween thetop surfaceof your food andthe
broilelement.Slow broilingis best forchicken and ham.Use this
settingfor broilingsmalland average cutsof meat.

Low Broil

Thismode uses onlya fractionof the oven’savailablepower to
theinner broilelement to producedelicatetop-browningin only
threeto four minuteson itemssuch as meringue.

ToUse Broil:

1.Arrange the ovenrack in the desiredpositionbefore
turningthe broileron.
2.Place the foodin the center ofthe cold broilerpan and grid
suppliedwithyour oven, andthen place thebroiler pan inthe
oven.
3.Select “UPPEROVEN” or “LOWEROVEN.”
4.Set the Oven FunctionSelectorto “BROIL.”Display willshow
“BROILHIGH” and“ON” will flash.Medium andlow displays
willshow “CONVBROIL M” and “CONVBROILL.”
5.Choose powerlevel for BROIL:
a. For“HIGH BROIL,”press “SET.”
b. For“MEDIUM BROIL,”pressdown arrow keyonce. Display
willchange to MED,then press“SET.”
c. For“LOW BROIL,”press downarrow key twice.Displaywill
changeto LO, thenpress “SET.”
6.Close the doorto the oven. Withclosed-doorbroiling,the broil
elementmightcycle on and offif an extendedbroiling timeis
required.A built-in smoke"eliminator"in the topof the oven
willhelp reducesmoke and odors.
7.When cookingis complete,press the “OFF”button forthe
selectedoven.

TruConvec™

Thisfunctionis ideal for foodsthat requiregentle cooking,single-
rackbaking, multiple-rackbaking,roasting, andpreparationof
completemeals.This settingis also recommended when
preparing largequantitiesof bakedgoods at one time.To use
TruConvec™,take thefollowing steps:
1. Arrangethe ovenracks in thedesired positionsbeforeheating
theoven.
2. Select“UPPEROVEN” or “LOWEROVEN.”
3. Setthe Oven FunctionSelectorto “TRUCONVEC.”
Temperaturedisplayflashes a presettemperature of325º F.
4. Setthe temperatureusingone of the followingtwo methods:
a. Confirmpresettemperatureand press“SET” or “ENTER.”
Theoven will beginTruConvec™Preheatimmediately.
OR
b.Change the temperatureby typing the desiredtemperature
onthe numeric keypador usingthe up and down arrow
keys.Press “SET”or “ENTER”when finished.The oven will
beginTruConvec™Preheatimmediately.

DuringTruConvec™ Preheat

Thedisplay willalternate betweenshowingthe set baking
temperatureand the actualpreheat temperatureevery 5 seconds.
Whenthe set bakingtemperatureis reached,one long beepwill
soundand the displaywill show“TRUCONVEC.” Open oven
doorand put foodin oven.
Tochangeset temperatureduring preheatstage:
