ConvectionRoast

Usethis functionwhen roastingtender cutsof meat or poultryof
anysize. Touse ConvectionRoast, followthese steps:
1.Arrange the ovenracks in thedesired positionsbeforeheating
theoven.
2.Select “UPPEROVEN” or “LOWEROVEN.”
3.Set the Oven FunctionSelectorto “CONV.ROAST.”
Temperaturedisplayflashes a presettemperature of325º F.
4.Set the temperatureusingone of the followingtwo methods:
a.Confirm presettemperatureand press“SET” or “ENTER.”
Theoven will beginConvectionRoast Preheatimmediately.
OR
b.Change the temperatureby typing the desiredtemperature
onthe numeric keypador usingthe up and down arrow
keys.Press “SET”or “ENTER”when finished.The oven will
beginConvectionRoast Preheatimmediately.

DuringConvectionRoast Preheat

Thedisplay willalternate betweenshowingthe set temperature
andthe actual preheattemperature every5 seconds.When the
settemperatureis reached,one long beepwill sound andthe
displaywill show“CONV.ROAST.” Open oven doorand put
foodin oven.
Tochangeset temperatureduring preheatstage:

sTemperatureincreases by 5º F (or 2º C)
tTemperaturedecreases by 5º F (or 2º C)

ConvectionBroil

Convectionbroiling hasthe advantageof broilingfood slightly
morequickly thanconventional.Convectionbroilingof meatsalso
producesbetterresults,especiallyfor thick cuts.This is because
meatsears on theoutside and retainsmorejuices and natural
flavorinsidewith less shrinkage.

ToUse Convection Broil:

1.Arrange the ovenrack in the desiredpositionbeforeturning
thebroiler on.
2.Place the foodin the center ofthe cold broilerpan and grid
suppliedwithyour oven, andthen place thebroiler pan inthe
oven.
3.Select “UPPEROVEN” or “LOWEROVEN.”
4.Set the Oven FunctionSelectorto “CONV.BROIL.”Display will
show“CONV BROILH” and “ON” will flash.Medium andlow
displayswillshow “CONV BROILM” and “CONV BROILL.”
5.Choose powerlevel for CONVECTIONBROIL:
a. For“HIGH CONVECTIONBROIL,”press “SET.
b. For“MEDIUMCONVECTIONBROIL,” pressdown arrow
keyonce. Displaywill changeto MED, then press“SET.”
c. For“LOW CONVECTIONBROIL,”press downarrow key
twice.
d. Displaywillchange to LO, thenpress “SET.”
6.Close the doorto the oven. Withclosed-doorbroiling,the broil
elementmightcycle on and offif an extendedbroiling timeis
required.A built-in smoke"eliminator"in the topof the oven
willhelp reducesmoke and odors.
7.When cookingis complete,press the “OFF”button forthe
selectedoven.

OvenOff

Theoven will continueoperatinguntil youpress the “OFF”
buttonfor the ovenyou are using.For example,if you are
cookingin the “UPPEROVEN,”press the “OFF”button
nearestthis buttonon the controlpanel.
