	SETTINGS MUST BE ADJUSTED
		Ratchet
5/8” Socket	ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER’S
Ratchet Wrench	INSTRUCTIONS. SOME LIGHTER WEIGHT	Pawl
	DOORS ARE DESIGNED TO OPERATE WITH
3” Extension	A SINGLE COUNTER-BALANCE SPRING. IF
	THAT COUNTER-BALANCE SPRING
Vice Clamps	BREAKS AND THE OPENER’S FORCE
(Pair)	SETTINGS ARE NOT ADJUSTED
3” Extension	ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER’S
	SPECIFICATIONS, THE OPENER MAY THEN		Cable Drum
	HAVE THE CAPABILITY OF LIFTING THE
	DOOR TO THE OPEN POSITION, DESPITE
	THE BROKEN COUNTER-BALANCE
	SPRING. THIS SCENARIO WILL CAUSE THE	Drum Pawl
	COUNTER-BALANCE CABLES TO GO
			No space between
	SLACK AND ENGAGE THE
	TORQUEMASTER® PLUS SAFETY SYSTEM.	ENGAGEMENT Underneath View	drum Pawl and Cable
	IF A PERSON IS UNAWARE OF THE SLACK		Drum
			Indicates engagement
	CABLES AND THE ENGAGED
	TORQUEMASTER® PLUS SAFETY SYSTEM
	AND ACTIVATES THE MIS-ADJUSTED
	OPENER, DAMAGE WILL LIKELY OCCUR TO
	THE DOOR AND OPENER. THE POTENTIAL
	ALSO EXISTS THAT THE PERSON	No space between
	ACTIVATING THE OPENER UNDER THIS
		drum Pawl and
	SCENARIO COULD BE SEVERELY INJURED.

	PROCEDURES, DO NOT PERFORM THE
	WORK. INSTEAD, HAVE A TRAINED DOOR
	SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN RESET THE
	SYSTEM.
	WARNING
	TO AVOID SEVERE OR FATAL INJURY, DO
	NOT STAND OR WALK UNDER A MOVING
	DOOR, OR PERMIT ANYONE TO STAND OR		Cable Drum
	WALK UNDER AN ELECTRICALLY
	OPERATED DOOR
	This door is equipped with a TorqueMaster®
	Plus system, a safety feature which prevents	Drum Pawl
	the door from rapidly descending in case of

	spring failure or forceful manual operation. If
	the system engages with the door in the open		and Cable Drum

	items, close the garage door.
	Typical signs of an engaged system:
	Single spring system: Visually inspect the
	TorqueMaster® Plus right hand end bracket to
	confirm that the system has engaged (see	Space between
	illustration). If the system is engaged then	drum Pawl and
	the door will not close. If the opener force	Cable Drum
	settings were properly set during the
	initial installation, the door will not open.
