4 Using DSE-410D Manager

The DSE-410D Manager software performs several functions:

Searches the LAN for installed DSE-410D Servers

Configures the DSE-410D Server for operation

Uninstalls Virtual COM ports

Configures Virtual COM ports

Upgrades Firmware

1.Connect the DSE-410D to the LAN using a standard Cat 5 Ethernet cable, or to the LAN port on your computer using an Ethernet crossover cable.

2.Apply power. The Red Power indicator will light, the Link indicator lights when an Ethernet connection is made, and the Ready indicator will flash. See the Hardware chapter for more information.

The DSE-410D Manager software can now be started and used to Search for all connected DSE-410D Server. Each Server will be found and displayed by name and IP address in the Server Window.

Searching LAN for DSE-410D

1.Select the DSE-410D Manager from your Programs menu. Use Start/Programs/Quatech/SDS/DSE-410D/DSE-410D Manager.
