Menu Configuration

1 Image Adjust Menu Permits image adjustment

Gamma

Switches the gradation characteristics of the image. Select your preference setting values according to the image to be viewed.

Setting Values: Normal, A, B, Custom

Default Value: Normal

Setting to ‘Custom’ enables you to set a specific gamma value via a computer connected to the projector using Gamma adjustment software. (Default picture quality is equivalent to ‘Normal’)

Color Temp.

Adjusts the colour temperature of the pro- jected image.

Setting Values: D65, User1, User2

Default Value: D65

Red, Green, Blue

Setting Values: -255 to 0

Default Value: 0

When you set the ‘Color Temp.’ setting to ‘User1’ or ‘User2’, adjustment of Red, Green and Blue can also be carried out.

Test Pattern

Use this to adjust focus, screen size or picture quality. There are 10 types of test patterns. Press the ENTER or TEST button to alter the test pattern to be projected. Press the EXIT button twice to clear the test pattern.

Pixel Adjust

Fine-tunes the image position in the horizon- tal/vertical directions.

• This is not required under normal circumstances.

H Pixel Adjust

Default Value: 4

V Pixel Adjust

Red, Green, Blue

Setting Values: 1 to 7

Default Value: 4

NOTE:

‘H/V Pixel Adjust’ allows fine-tuning of images in the horizontal and vertical directions up to ±3 pixels, at intervals of 1 pixel for each of Red, Green and Blue. Display a still image with a clear outline during adjustment. This fea- ture is intended for fine-tuning of images and therefore the effect upon adjustment may not be visible to the eye.

2 Setup Menu

Menu Position

Adjusts the display position of the menu screen.

Setting Values:

Mask

Masks (hides) the outer area of the projected image.

Setting Values: 2.5%, 5%, Off

Default Value: Off

Flip H

Horizontally transposes left and right of the image.

Setting Values: On, Off

Default Value: Off

Flip V

Vertically transposes (inverts) the image. Setting Values: On, Off

Default Value: Off

Picture Shift

When projecting letterboxed images (with black bands at the top and bottom, due to the aspect ratio of the image being wider than that of the projector), this setting can be used to move the image up or down and thus elimi- nate one of the bands or centre the image between them as desired.

Setting Values: -30 to 30

Default Value: 0
