Caution

Avoid Burning-in of the D-ILA Device

Do not allow the same still picture to be pro- jected for a long time or an abnormally bright video image to be projected.

Do not project still images, etc. with a high intensity or high contrast on the screen for a long time. This video image could be burnt into this D-ILA device.

Pay special attention when projecting video games and computer program images.

There is no problem with ordinary videocas- sette playback images.

Viewing Conditions

Avoid direct exposure of the screen to direct sunlight and illumination. Image quality will be maximised by reducing room illumination.

Do not view screen for prolonged hours. Look- ing at the screen continually for a prolonged time will cause your eyes to get tired. Allow your eyes to rest at intervals.

Do not use this unit if the image flickers, as this may cause your eyesight to deteriorate.

Operating Environment

Do not use this unit in rooms with cigarette smoke or oily smoke. Ingress of smoke may cause the unit to malfunction.

When mounting this unit to the ceiling, check temperature around the unit.

When a heater is in use, the ceiling may reach a temperature higher than anticipated, leading to malfunction of the unit.

Maintenance Procedures

Remove dirt from the projector enclosure with a soft cloth. In case of heavy soiling, soak a cloth in a neutral detergent diluted with water, wring dry and wipe, followed by wiping again using a dry cloth.
