Installation

Ventilation ➤ If you are mounting the V-50HD/V-63HD in an enclosure, leave sufficient space on all sides between it and surrounding objects, as shown in Figure 3-1.This allows heat to disperse, maintaining the proper operating temperature.

Ambient Light ➤	In general, minimize or eliminate light sources directed at the display. Contrast ratio in your
	images will be noticeably reduced if light directly strikes the display, such as when a shaft
	of light from a window or floodlight falls on the image. Images may then appear washed
	out and less vibrant.
Other Considerations ➤	Other considerations and tips that can help improve your installation:
	• Keep the ambient temperature constant and below 35°C (95°F). Keep the display away
	from heating and/or air conditioning vents. Changes in temperature may cause drifts in
	the display circuitry, which may affect performance.
	• Keep the display away from devices that radiate electromagnetic energy such as
	motors and transformers. Common sources of these include slide projectors,
	speakers, power amplifiers and elevators.
Rack-Mounting the DHD ➤	The DHD Controller can be placed on any flat, stable surface such as a shelf or table, or it
Controller	can be rack-mounted using the supplied mounting hardware. Place the DHD Controller in
	a location that provdes easy access to the power connector.
	To mount the DHD Controller in a standard, 19-inch equipment rack, install the mounting
	ears on either side of the chassis using the supplied screws. Then, secure the mounting
	ears to the rack.
