11.3 HEART RATE ALERT FUNCTION.
The heart rate range can be set for people who want to keep their heart rate within their objective training limits or for people who need to keep their heart rate within 2 limits for health reasons.
11.3.1 Measurement with alert function on.
Depending on the age and gender, the Maximum Heart Rate (MHR) is calculated as follow:
ENGLISH
•MHR Female = 226 - user age
•MHR Male = 220 - user age
85% x MHR
65% x MHR
HRR
Before measurement make sure the heart rate limits are set and the heart rate alert function is on. (§11.3.2/3)
When you do a measurement with the Heart Rate Alert function on, the watch will indicate the Relative Heart Rate (HRR). This is the measured heart rate as percentage of the Maximum Heart Rate.
If the heart rate is out of the range, you will hear a double beep tone and the heart rate is flashing on the display.
If you use the automatically defined Upper and Lower limit, the watch will indicate the Relative Heart Rate also in a Graphical Bar when this is within the limits from 65% to 85% of the Maximum Heart Rate.
