Electrical connection U.K.

All electrical work should be carried out only by a suitably qualified and compe- tent person, in strict accordance with national and local safety regulations.

The appliance is supplied with a mains cable with moulded plug for connection to a 230-240V mains supply. The volt- age, rated load and fuse rating are given on the data plate. Please ensure these match the household mains sup- ply.

Connection should be made via a fused plug and suitable switched socket which is easily accessible after installa- tion. For extra safety it is advisable to install a residual current device (RCD), with a trip current of 30 mA (in accor- dance with DIN VDE 0664, VDE 0100, Section 739). Do not connect via an ex- tension lead.

Important

The wires in the mains lead are col- oured in accordance with the following code:

Green/yellow

= earth

Blue

= neutral

Brown

= live

Where it is necessary to change plugs, if the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance do not corre- spond with the coloured markings iden- tifying the terminals of your plug, pro- ceed as follows:

The wire which is coloured green and yellow must be connected to the termi- nal in the plug which is marked with the letter E or by the earth symbol z or coloured green, or green and yellow.

The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter N or coloured black.

The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.

WARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED

Ensure power is not supplied to the ap- pliance while installation work is being carried out.
