Step 3 Select water
temperature
Press the appropriate button to select the wash and rinse temperatures. Follow the gar- ment care label for best results. Use the chart at the right as a guide. While the washer is fill- ing, there may be a mixing of hot and cold water to reach the proper water temperature.
REMEMBER: In wash water temperatures below 65° F, detergents do not dissolve well or clean well. Care labels define cold water as up to 85° F.

HOT/COLD – White and heavily soiled,
WARM/WARM – Delicate or colorfast items
WARM/COLD – Moderately soiled, colored items; most wrinkle free items
COLD/COLD – Brightly colored, lightly soiled items; washable woolens

Step 4 Select a customized cycle
Press the appropriate button(s) to select one or more options.
USE
SUPER WASH – Can be used with any wash cycle to clean very heavily soiled items. Provides fast agitation and normal spin throughout all cycles.
NORMAL WASH – Can be used with all wash cycles to provide normal agitation and normal spin speed. Use for the major- ity of loads.
EXTRA RINSE – Provides an additional rinse at the end of the cycle to more com- pletely remove laundry additives, suds, perfume, etc.
NORMAL RINSE – Cancels the second deep rinse. Provides one deep rinse.
ENERGY SAVING WASH LIGHT – Energy Saving Wash light will illuminate unless Super Wash or Extra Rinse are selected.
Step 5 Start washer
•Add detergent and any additives
•Add load and close lid
•Pull the control dial out to start
