If the amplifier box is installed in an area with over pressure or negative pressure in relation to the atmospheric pressure in the tank, the breather tube must be directed to an area with atmospheric pressure equalling the pressure inside the tank. This applies to gauge transmitters only. For absolute transmitters this has no affect, due to the reference to absolute vacuum and not atmospheric pressure. This is also the reason why no breather tube is necessary.
Be sure that the cable glands are tight. Use a torque of 6 Nm.
