10 Maintenance

The PLENA matrix system has been designed to operate without problems for a long period of time, with a minimum of maintenance.

In order to guarantee trouble-free operation:

Clean the units, page 45

Clean air vents, page 45

Check the connectors and grounding, page 45

Warning!

!Dangerous mains voltages are present inside the 19" units. Disconnect the mains power supply before you do any maintenance.

10.1

Clean the units

 

Periodically clean all units with a damp, lint-free cloth; never use water or chemicals.

10.2

Clean air vents

 

The multi channel DSP amplifier can collect dust as a result of the internal fan.

 

Base the interval on the actual situation and dust buildup. Start with an interval of at least

 

once a year. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the air vents of all units.

10.3

Check the connectors and grounding

Periodically check:

All cable connections for corrosion and the screw terminals to make sure that they have not become loosened.

The ground (PE) connection of the system components.
