12.4 Limited Remote Telephone Programming

Some basic configuration areas of the PERS-4200 Console can be programmed by a remote telephone phone call. The programming is limited to Reporting Format, Primary Phone Number, Account Number settings.

NOTE: If the telephone line that the Console is connected to has automatic telephone answering equipment that answers the line in three rings or less, the Console may not be able to be remotely accessed

In this remote programming mode, the Console remains fully functional and will continue to annunciate and report alarms as they occur, except for the few seconds when confi guration memory is being updated at the conclusion of a RA4200 programming session. Prior to the confi guration update, the Console will continue to use its previously stored settings for normal operation.
