Call screening
You can let your answering machine pick up a call, even if you are in. This allows you to identify the caller and decide whether to take the call.
Make sure the volume on the base unit is set to an audible level,
see page 32. Allow the incoming call to be answered by your Synergy 700 answering machine as normal. You will hear the caller begin to leave a message.
To screen a call from the
base unit
While listening to your caller leaving a message, via the base unit loudspeaker, you can decide to take the call by pressing the TALK button on the handset.
Or
If the handset is resting on the base unit and you decide to take the call, lift the handset and speak to the caller.
Recording will stop automatically.
