Glossary (words to know)
Conference call | Call between three parties, using a call between two parties. |
Digital | A set with access to ISDN network services is called digital. |
Directory of external names | This is the shared directory of the names of external correspondents |
| recorded in the system by the system operator. |
Directory of internal names | This is the shared directory of the names of internal correspondents |
| recorded in the system by the system operator. |
Directory of collective | This is the directory of collective abbreviated numbers recorded in the |
abbreviated numbers | system by the system operator. |
Directory of personal | This is the directory of personal abbreviated numbers recorded in the |
abbreviated numbers | system by the user of the set. |
Filtering | Used to forward calls intended for a set called "Manager" to a set |
| called "Assistant". |
General ring | Ringing on a |
Hands free | Telephone mode in which calls can be made or answered without |
| picking up the handset. |
Incoming calls log | List summarizing calls received by the set (up to 50 calls). |
Intercept group | All sets associated within a given group and authorized to intercept |
| calls intended for this group. |
Intercom | Feature making it possible to receive internal calls without pressing |
| keys (hands free communication mode). |
LNR calls log | List summarizing the last ten calls made from the set. |
Multikey | Concerns a set with only one directory number but several |
| programmed keys to manage several simultaneous calls. |
Multiline | Concerns a set with several directory numbers. |
Private directory | This is the set directory: 100 records (names and numbers) stored. |
Password | Personal code, like any password. You have two passwords: |
| - set password: used to cancel set locking and access to certain |
| facilities (replace). The default code is 0000. |
| - mailbox access password: 2 or |
| mailbox. |
Replace | Function used to recover the features granted on your normal set |
| on another set. |
