Installation

2 Installation

Ensure that you have Administrator access rights to your Windows OS before you proceed with the installation.

2.1The INT9 Card

Install Clarity software from the CDROM.

Caution! Install the Clarity software before inputting any devices.

Plug in the HW Key (described in the Getting Started manual)

Turn off the PC

Plug the INT9 card into the PCI slot

Start the PC

a) MS Windows 2000/XP/Vista and later

In Windows 2000/XP/Vista the drivers were installed automatically during the installation of the Clarity software.

b) Previous versions of MS Windows

In systems other than Windows 2000/XP/

Vista follow the procedure described in chapter

4.3 on pg. 23.

The driver is now installed, proceed to setup and wiring.

Note: When installing multiple INT9 cards, a PC restart is recommended, after the installation, in order to prevent the reassignment of INT9 acquisition channels between Clarity Instruments.

2.2Standard cable for Clarity station

The standard Clarity station package includes a cable set composed of signal and starting cables for connecting the CLARITY station to the chromatograph.
