Selecting the caller’s recording time

You can change the maximum message recording time allotted to each caller, or set the unit to greet callers but not record messages.

1 MINUTE”: Caller messages are limited to 1 minute.

UNLIMITED”: Caller messages are limited only by the amount of total recording time available in the answering system. “GREET ONLY”: The unit plays the greeting message but does not record caller messages.

2Press {v} repeatedly to display “SETTING BS”, then press {>}.

3Press {#}.

4Press {3}.

5Select the desired setting by pressing {1} for “1 MINUTE”, {2} for “UNLIMITED” or {3} for “GREET ONLY”.

6Press {>}, then press {ih}.

Note:

L When the recording time is set to “GREET ONLY”, the following will be displayed.

Turning the recording quality on/ off

The unit can record messages in either high or normal quality mode. In normal quality mode, the total recording time is approximately 20 minutes.

In high quality mode, recording quality is

improved, but the total recording time is reduced to approximately 10 minutes.

2Press {v} repeatedly to display “SETTING BS”, then press {>}.

3Press {#}.

4Press {8}.

5Select the desired setting by pressing {1} for “ON” (high) or {2} for “OFF” (normal).

6Press {>}, then press {ih}.

Turning the monitor on/off

You can select whether the greeting message and the caller message are heard through the unit’s receiver and speaker when the unit answers a call.

1Press {j}.

2Press {v} repeatedly to display “SETTING BS”, then press {>}.

3Press {#}.

4Press {4}.

5Press {1} to turn off or {2} to turn on.

6Press {>}, then press {ih}.

Note:

L When the monitor is turned on, you can turn off only the speaker volume by pressing {v} for 1 second.
