(A)Fig. 9 in the side of the saw table. Place a 7/16" lockwasher and a 7/16" flat washer on a 7/16-20 x 1-1/4” hex head screw

(B)Fig. 9. Insert the screw through the hole in the extension wing and thread the screw into the tapped hole in the side of the table. Repeat this process for the two remaining holes in the extension wing and saw table.

Use a straight edge (E) Fig. 11 to level the extension wing with the saw table before tightening the three bolts (B) Fig. 10. Use an 18mm open-end wrench and start with a bolt on one side. Align the table and wing and tighten that bolt. Move to the middle bolt and follow the same procedure. Finish with the bolt on the other end.

36-714B specifications

The Delta 36-714B is a powerful and versatile scroll saw designed for both amateur woodworkers and seasoned professionals. This model stands out due to its precision, durability, and user-friendly features, making it a popular choice for those who need to create intricate designs with ease.

One of the main features of the Delta 36-714B is its robust 1.3-amp motor, which provides ample power for cutting through a variety of materials, including wood and plastic. The saw operates at variable speeds, ranging from 400 to 1,750 strokes per minute, allowing users to adjust the speed according to the specific application and material thickness. This level of control is essential for creating clean, precise cuts, particularly for intricate patterns.

The Delta 36-714B comes equipped with a large 16-inch throat, providing ample space for cutting larger projects without the need for constant repositioning. The table, made of high-quality cast iron, is both sturdy and reliable, ensuring stability during operation. The table also tilts up to 45 degrees, enabling users to make bevel cuts with ease. This feature is particularly useful for creating angled cuts or for complex projects that require varying angles.

One of the standout technologies in the Delta 36-714B is its patented blade tensioning system, which allows for quick and easy blade changes without the need for additional tools. This feature not only saves time but also enhances productivity, enabling users to switch between blades suitable for different materials quickly. Additionally, the saw is designed to accept both pin-end and plain-end blades, providing versatility in blade choices depending on the desired project.

Another noteworthy characteristic is the integrated dust blower, which helps to keep the cutting line clear of debris, allowing for improved visibility and accuracy. The included LED light illuminates the cutting area, enhancing precision work, especially in low-light conditions.

Overall, the Delta 36-714B is a well-engineered scroll saw that combines power, precision, and ease of use. Its features and technologies make it an excellent choice for woodworkers looking to tackle detailed projects with confidence. Whether for hobbyists or professionals, this scroll saw proves to be a valuable addition to any workshop.
