CHAPTER 7

Global Control

Dampening

Dampening smooths DMX crossfades of X and Y image position changes as well as indexed rotation changes. When a long DMX crossfade occurs on these parameters, use the Dampening channel to smooth the resolution of the image position change.

Default DMX Value: 0 = Disable Dampening

You can increase the Dampening effect from a minimum at a DMX value of 1 to the maximum effect at a DMX value of 255 (100%).

Global Transition

The Transition Mode and Transition parameters create real time crossfades, wipes, and transitions from one layer to another. For information on these parameters, see Chapter 8: Global Control: Transitions on page 49.

Global Effects

There are several Effect Function options you can apply to the composite image you create by defining Image A and Image B. The type of adjustment made by two Modifier parameters depend on the option you select.
