Channel Switching

POWER

This example illustrates closing and opening coaxial switch channel 01 in a HP E1369A Microwave Switch Driver module. For the example, the type of switch installed in the HP E1369A is a HP 33311B (8762B), with 24Vdc drive requirements. Figure 3-2 shows how to connect an external power supply to the EXTernal POWER terminals to provide the necessary 24Vdc drive for the coaxial switch.

To close channel 01, execute:

CLOS (@101)

Connect channel 01 switch port 2

to port C, and terminate port 1 into

50; 1 is the card number and 01 is

the channel number.

To open channel 01, execute:

OPEN (@101)

Connect channel 01 switch port 1

to port C, and terminate port 2 into

50; 1 is the card number and 01 is

the channel number.
