Visually check pilot and burner flames periodically. Refer to Figure 53 for typical burner flame. Refer to Figure 54 for typical pilot flame.

firebox cleaning

1.Carefully remove log set, and embers (rock wool) from combustion chamber.

2.Vacuum burner compartment thoroughly.

3.Vacuum or brush with soft brush any dust off logs.

4.Remove any lint from main burner and pilot.

5.Carefully replace log set, and embers in their correct positions. Refer to Pages 34 through 36.

6.Replace door (if it has been removed).

7.Relight pilot. Refer to Page 37.

8.Turn on main burner.
