Sensor Response Types

Your BT Home Monitor VP1000 and sensors are pre-programmed with default settings, as follows:

Sensor 1

Front Door

Entry Delay 1

Sensor 2

Living Room

Home & House

 

 

 

Sensor 3

Kitchen

Home & House

 

 

 

You can re-set these sensors and any additional accessories to behave differently, by assigning new response types.

Note that some sensors and panel buttons have 24 hour functionality, which means that they are on permanently and will trigger alerts whether your system is switched ON of OFF. (Please see table below.)

CHANGING SENSOR RESPONSE TYPES

The Response Types which can be assigned to sensors are as follows:

Response Type

Home

These sensors are instructed to remain dormant, and will not trigger alerts when the

 

system is in ON HOME mode.

 

 

Home / House

These sensors are active in both ON HOUSE AND ON HOME modes.

 

 

Walk-Thru

Sensors are dormant during entry and exit delay periods.

 

 

Entry 1

Allows 45 seconds to switch the system off before triggering an alert*.

 

 

Entry 2

Allows 45 seconds to switch the system off before triggering an alert*.

 

 

Help Silent

24 hour. Sends a Help message but does not sound Siren.

 

 

Alarm

24 hour. No current application, reserved for future devices.

 

 

Fire

24 hour. Sends a Fire message and sounds Siren.

 

 

Non-Alarm

24 hour. No current application, reserved for future devices.

 

 

Emergency

24 hour. Sends an Emergency message and sounds Siren.

 

 

*Setting an entry delay automatically creates an exit delay of 60 seconds. These delay times are user selectable, see Section 4. There are two entry delay settings to allow different times to be set, if you have more than one entry point.
