LED INDICATORS ON HOT SURFACE IGNITION (HSI)

USING FLASHING RED LED ON HSI (HOT SURFACE IGNITION)

	LED STATUS	INDICATION	ACTION TO BE TAKEN

	7 Flashes	Flame sensor reads a	Verify that the main
		low flame signal for	burner flame is in contact
		more than 4.25 sec.	with the flame.
			Check wiring and
			connection to HSI
			assembly.
			Clean the flame sensor
			rod of soot or metal
			flakes.
	8 Flashes	No ignition sensed	Check igniter for lack of
			voltage, cracks, or lose
			connection. [11-20 Ohms
			at 77° F (25° C) is “good”]
			Check ground
			connection.

	Continuous	Continuous flame	Check that the gas valve
	Flash	sensed for more than 5	is not failing to close at
		seconds without gas	the end of a heating
