CHANGING REMOTE HANDSET CODE:

A code is preset for the remote handset and receiver, but can be changed if required. If one or more

Sonnets are to be installed, confirm that the remote control signal codes are different for each unit.To change the code, complete the following:

1.Change DIP switch position (shown at the top of Figure 13).

2.Press and hold the receiver’s reset button (see Figure 14) until you hear two (2) acoustic signals. After the second longer acoustic signal, release

REMOVING VALVE COVER:

the reset button and within the subsequent 20 seconds, press the (down arrow) on the remote handset until you hear an additional long acoustic signal confirming the new code is set. The access hole for the reset button is located on the left side of the unit 87/16” (214mm) back from the front edge of the cabinet.

The valve cover can be removed to access the gas valve, the fan, wiring harness, or other components.

1.Remove the glass door as shown in the MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE - GLASS DOOR REMOVAL.

2.Carefully remove the log set, ember material, and brick panels, refer to SECONDARY INSTALLATION - BRICK

PANEL INSTALLATION and SECONDARY INSTALLATION - LOG SET AND EMBER INSTALLATION.

3.Using a T-20 screwdriver remove the two (2) screws that hold the burner tray in place (pointed out in

Figure 15). Pick up the burner tray at the front (see Figure 16) then pull it out of the firebox.

4.Using a T-20 screwdriver remove the six (6) screws that hold the valve cover in place (pointed out in Figure 17). Pick the valve cover up then out of the firebox (see Figure 18).
