5 Parameter Settings

User Guide

You can set ATM parameters as required.

Path

Choose Basic > ATM.

Parameter Description

Table 5-2 describes ATM parameters.

Table 5-2ATM parameters

Parameter

Description

VPI/VCI

It specifies the VPI of the selected PVC. To enable the HG612 to

 

communicate with the upper-layer equipment, ensure that this VPI

 

is the same as the VPI set on the upper-layer equipment.

DSL latency

It specifies the DSL latency for the HG612.

 

 

DSL link type

You can select either of the following two options:

 

z EoA: The EoA includes the bridge, PPPoE and IPoE modes of

 

the ATM.

 

z PPPoA: If this option is selected, the HG612 is used as a router.

 

The HG612 uses the embedded PPP dial-up software to set up

 

dial-up connections, and encapsulates data packets in PPPoA

 

mode.

Encapsulation

You can select either of the following two options:
