Question 1 Can I use the HG612 as a DHCP server?

Yes, you can. The HG612 incorporates the DHCP server software.

Question 2 How can I quickly restore the default settings of the HG612?

To restore the default settings of the HG612, power on the HG612, press and hold the RESET button, and then release the RESET button.

Question 3 What can I do if I cannot access the Web-based configuration utility of the HG612?

Step 1 Check the IP address of your computer and ensure that this IP address is in the same network segment as that of the LAN IP address of the HG612.

Step 2 Ensure that your Web browser does not use a proxy server.

Step 3 Ensure that you have entered the correct user name and password that are used for accessing the Web-based configuration utility of the HG612.

If the problem persists, restore the default settings of the HG612.

Question 4 What can I do if Web pages often cannot be displayed during Web page browsing and can be displayed after the HG612 is restarted?

Step 1 Ensure that telephone lines are properly connected.

If the telephone lines are improperly connected, the stability of the network connection is affected.

Step 2 Check the positions of your HG612 and computer. Ensure that they are far from the electric appliances such as microwave ovens, refrigerators, or cordless telephones that generate strong magnetic or electric fields.

If the problem persists, contact your service provider.
