5.9 Configuring the IGMP

Function

The Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) is a multicast protocol that belongs to the Internet protocol family. It is used by the IP host to report the information of group members to any of the neighboring routers.

Path

Choose Advanced > IGMP.

Parameter Description

Table 5-13describes IGMP parameters.

Enable IGMP proxy

It specifies whether to enable the IGMP proxy function.

 

 

IGMP snooping

It specifies whether to enable the IGMP snooping

 

function.

IGMP version

It specifies the version of the IGMP.

Function

 

The quality of service (QoS) is the capability to guarantee a required bandwidth, delay,

 

jitter, and packet loss rate when the data communication network permits.
