Para recibir las transmisiones, el radio debe estar dentro del área cubierta por la señal transmitida. Como estas transmisiones son hechas en VHF (frecuencias muy altas), en canales de “línea de sitio”, el alcance actual de las señales varía, dependiendo de la topografía del terreno y de cualquier obstrucción en la trayectoria de la transmisión.

6 PARA REGISTRAR SU GARANTÍA

Para asegurar una cobertura completa de la garantía o informaciónetón

acerca de nuevos productos, el registro de su producto de o Grundig debe ser completado tan pronto como sea posible, después de la compra o llegada del producto. Para registrar su radio, por favor seleccione uno de los métodos siguientes:

Seleccione la posición WX con el interruptor selector deslizable. Hay siete canales de la NOAA en operación. Use la perilla marcada NOAA WX para seleccionar el canal más fuerte en su área con los reportes del tiempo (usualmente sólo uno de los canales). Para recibir “alertas” de mal tiempo, deje el radio encendido con el volumen de su prefer- encia y seleccione la posición ALERT en el selector marcado SIREN / OFF / ALERT. El radio permanecerá en silencio hasta que ocurra una transmisión especial de “alerta”. El servicio de la NOAA practica estas transmisiones de alerta todos los miércoles entre las 11 de la mañana y el mediodía.

USO DE LA LUZ DE EMERGENCIA

Coloque el interruptor selector marcado LIGHT / OFF / FLASH en la posición FLASH o LIGHT.

USO DE LA SIRENA

Coloque el interruptor selector marcado SIREN / OFF / ALERT en la posición SIREN.

USO DEL RECEPTÁCULO DE AUDÍFONO

Enchufe sus audífonos preferidos (no incluidos) que tengan un enchufe monofónico o estereofónico de 1/8 de pulgada. Cuando se usan audífonos, el altoparlante integral del radio se desconecta automáticamente. Observe si los audífonos estereofónicos están trabajando y si el sonido se escucha por ambos lados, aunque dicho sonido no es estereofónico.
