Installation - Ceramic hobs

When installing a hob there may be a wall at the back and a wall or tall unit at one side. On the other side there must not be a unit or wall which stands higher than the hob.

Because of the heat given off, there must be a minimum distance as fol- lows:

– 50 mm between the worktop cut-out and adjacent furniture, e. g. tall unit.

– 50 mm between the back wall and the worktop cut-out.

– Maintain the safety distance between the hob and a cooker hood above it as recommended by the manufacturer. Where no figures are given, e.g. for a pot or utensil hanging rail, the safety distance must be at least

760 m for inflammable objects.
