• A fuse in your home may be blown or the circuit breaker tripped.

 

DO NOT WORK

Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.

 

 

• Oven controls improperly set. See the Oven Control, Clock and Timer

 

 

section.

 

 

 

 

 

OVEN LIGHT DOES

• Light bulb is loose or defective. Tighten or replace the bulb.

 

NOT WORK

• Pad operating light is broken. Call for service.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

OVEN

• Oven thermostat needs adjustment. See the Adjust the Oven Thermostat

 

TEMPERATURE

TOO HOT OR

OVEN WILL

• Rack position is incorrect or the rack is not level.

• Incorrect cookware or cookware of improper size being used.

 

 

 

 

• Oven thermostat needs adjustment. See the Adjust the Oven Thermostat

FOOD DOES NOT

• Oven controls improperly set. Make sure you press the BROIL

 

BROIL PROPERLY

HIGH/LOW pad.

 

 

• Improper rack position being used. See the Broiling guide.

 

 

• Food being cooked in a hot pan. Use the broiling pan and grid that

 

 

came with your oven. Make sure that it is cool.

 

 

• Cookware not suited for broiling. Use the broiling pan and grid that

 

 

came with your oven.

 

 

• The probe is plugged into the outlet in the oven. Remove the probe

 

 

from the oven.

 

 

• Aluminum foil used on the broiling pan and grid has nor been fitted

 

 

properly and slit as recommended.

 

 

• In some areas the power (voltage) may be low. Preheat the broil

 

 

element for 10 minutes. Broil for the longest period of time

 

 

recommended in the Broiling guide.

 

 

 

 

 

OVEN WILL NOT

• The oven temperature is too high to set a self-clean operation.

 

SELF CLEAN

Allow the oven to cool and reset the controls.

 

 

• Oven controls improperly set. See the Using the Self-Cleaning Oven

 

 

section.

 

 

• The probe is plugged into the outlet in the oven. Remove the probe

 

 

from the oven.

 

 

 

 

 

“CRACKING” OR

• This is normal. It is the sound of the metal heating and cooling

 

“POPPING” SOUND

during both cooking and cleaning functions.

 

 

 

 

 

EXCESSIVE SMOKING

• Excessive soil. Press the CLEAR/OFF pad. Open the windows to rid

the room of smoke. Wait until the LOCKED light goes off.

 

CYCLE

Wipe up the excess soil and reset the clean cycle.
