Pre-Wash Summary

The "Pre-Wash" program is a convenience feature that allows dishes to be rinsed, when you don't have a full load ready to be washed. (this prevents foods from becoming dried/caked on the dishes)

It is not necessary to add detergent during the Pre- Wash cycle. It is important to make sure the incoming water is hot. Open the hot water faucet and run till hot, before connecting the dishwasher.

NOTE: At the beginning of all programs, the dishwasher starts in "drain" mode.

The drain pump always retains a small amount of water (in the sump) from the previous cycle. This is necessary to keep the pump primed. Don't be alarmed if you see small amounts of water being pumped-out from the drain hose prior to the start of the cycle, and/or water remaining in the sump area at the end of the cycle. (THIS IS NORMAL)

Sani/Econo Summary

The "Sani" feature utilizes a heating element to boost (increase) temperature of the wash water upto 160°F (71°C).

To activate this feature, push the "Sani/Econo" button on the control panel.

The red indicator light adjacent to the button illuminates, indentifying the Sani feature is selected.

To deactivate the Sani feature, push the “Sani/Econo” button again and the indicator light turns off.

If you elect to use the “Econo” feature,

(no indicator light) dishes are washed using standard (household) hot water only.

We recommend a minimum (household) water temperature setting of 120°F (49°C) otherwise washability may be compromised.

SPECIAL NOTE: During the final rinse cycle of the NORMAL/SHORT/RINSE programs, the heating element is activated automatically, irregardless of the “Sani/Econo” setting. This feature provides optimum conditions for dispursement of the rinse agent and accelerates the drying time of the dishes.
