Oven Vent

The oven vent is located under the center of the control panel. When the oven is on, warm air passes through this vent. This venting is necessary for proper air circulation in the oven and good baking results. Do not block the oven vent since it is important for air circulation. It is normal to see steam escaping from the vent, and condensation may collect in this area. This area may be warm when the oven is in use.

Convection Fan (some models)

The convection fan operates during the convection mode. When the oven is operating in a convection mode, the fan turns off automatically when the door is opened. The convection fan will take 6 minutes to begin rotating once the convection switch has been turned on.
