Maintenance

Check the battery

WARNING! Lead-acid batteries produce

!explosive gases. Avoid sparks, open flames and smoking close to batteries. Always wear protective glasses in the vicinity of batteries.

The machine is equipped with a maintenance-free battery. The battery has a service window showing different colours.

White = Charge battery

Green = OK.

Red = Change battery.

Clean the battery and holder with soap/water solution.

A discarded or replacement battery should be handled as hazardous waste.

Fitting the cutting head

1Place the machine on a flat surface and apply the parking brake.

2Start the engine and lower the lift arms to floating mode.

!

WARNING! If the help function is engaged,

the lift arms will move with great force if

someone releases the lifting lever. Observe

 

caution to avoid trapping your hand.

Risk of crush injuries.

3Turn off the motor.

4Fit the universal drive shaft to the cutting unit. Slide the ring sideways to release the quick coupling and the universal drive shaft can be pushed onto the shaft pin.

5Make sure the rubber casing is folded over the front universal joint.

6Remove the bolts and pins from the link joint on the lift arms.

7Slide in the cutting unit so that the link joint aligns with the opening in the unit.

8Insert the bolts for the link joints and the pins on both sides.
