If you are using optical fiber interface cables in your cluster, you must install an MIA with the optical fiber cables. Follow this procedure to connect the cluster with optical fiber cables.

NOTE: To use optical fiber cables, your nodes must have QLogic QLA-2100F host bus adapters with the multimode fiber SC connectors.

1.Connect an MIA to each port connector you plan to use on the PowerVault stor- age system, and tighten the two screws on the MIA with a flat-blade screwdriver.

2.Remove the cover(s) from the optical fiber cable connector(s), and connect the cable to the MIA.

3.Connect the other end of each optical fiber cable to the host bus adapter(s) in each node.
