The nodes cannot access the Dell PowerVault storage sys- tem, or the cluster software is not functioning with the stor- age system.

The PowerVault storage system is not cabled prop- erly to the nodes or the cabling between the Power- Vault components is incorrect.

The length of the interface cables exceeds the maxi- mum allowable length.

One of the cables or a media interface adapter (MIA) is faulty.

Make sure that the cables are connected properly from the node to the PowerVault storage system. Refer to the cabling instructions in “Cabling the Cluster Hard- ware” in Chapter 2 of this guide.

Ensure that copper cables do not exceed 30 meters (m) or that optical fiber cables do not exceed 500 m.

Replace the faulty cable or MIA.

The SCSI miniport device driver for the QLogic host bus adapter is not installed

Install the SCSI miniport device driver. See “SCSI Miniport Driver for the QLogic Host Bus Adapter” in Chapter 3 for instructions on installing the driver.
