Oven Door Trim
Slightly dampen acloth orpapertowelwith a nonabrasive cleanser, such asBon
Ami,soapywater or glasscleaner.Donot use excessiveamountsofwater or allow
waterto run down throughthe air vents in the door since this will causestreaks
whichwillbevisiblethroughtheglassdoor.
Stainless Steel Areas
Thetop of the range(thetrim area aroundthe grill basinareas) is made of stainless
steel.
•Toclean light soil, wipe with soapy cloth or nonabrasive cleanser,such asSoft
Scrub.Rinse,buffwith soft cloth; polish with glasscleaner if necessary.
• To clean moderate soil or discoloration of the surface (excessiveheat will cause
a golden discoloration), clean with Zud, Sar Keepers Friend, or Luneta (Jenn-
Air Model A912, Part No. 712191).With a sponge or cloth, rub cleanser with the
graintoavoidstreakingthesurface.Rinsewelt,buff dry; polishwithaglass cleaner
ifnecessarytoremovecleanserresidueandsmudgemarks.
•Heavysoil, suchas burnedon foodsoil, canberemoved by firstcleaning as
pertheinstructionsformoderatesoil. Stubborn stains can be removedwith a
dampScotch-Britescour-pad; rub evenlywith the grain to avoidstreaking the
surface.Rinse well, buff withdry cloth; polishwithglass cleanerif necessary
toremovecleanserresidueandsmudgemarks.Scotch-Briteisalsousefulinbuffing
andremovingminorscratches.
•StubbornfoodstainsmayalsoberemovedbysprayingwithEasy-Offovencleaner.
Allow to set overnight,thenrinse.If stains remain,clean withrecommended
cleanserssuchasZud,Luneta(Jenn-AirModelA912,Part No. 712191),orScotch-
Britescour-pad.CAUTION:When usingEasy-Off, avoidsprayingareasother than
the stainlesssteel such as the air grille, controlknob area, and areas around
cooktop. Immediately wipe up any spray from theseareas with a damp cloth.
Readthe manufacturer'sprecautions on usingoven cleaners.Thecaustic materials
in theseproductswill discolor materialssuch asaluminum,brushed or chrome
plate.Hint: Easy-Offcan be used to cleanthe porcelain grill basin area.
• Hint:for ease in cleaning the stainless steel cooktop cartridge when itis
moderately or heavilysoiled, remove cartridgefrom range topand work near
the sink area. Do not immerse the cartridge or heating elements in water. Be
verycareful not to get cleanser or water into the wiring in the receptaclearea.
