Oven Operation

Baking or Roasting

1. Locate oven racks on properrackpositions.
2. Turn TEMPERATUREknobto desiredtemperature.
3. Turn SELECTORknob to BAKEor CONVECT setting.WhentheOVEN INDICA-
TOR LIGHT cyclesoff,the oven ispreheatedto the selectedtemperature.Place
thefood in theoven. TheOVENINDICATORLIGHT will cycle onand off
throughoutthebaking process.Preheatonly when necessary. Refer to baking
androastingsectionsastowhen preheatingis recommended.
4. Afterbaking, turnboth TEMPERATUREandSELECTOR knobsto OFF position.

Rack Positions

Therackpositionsnoted are generally recommended forthe best browning results
and mostefficient cooking times. Formany food items,excellent resultscan be
achievedwhen using one of several different rack positions. Refer to baking and
roastingsectionsforrecommendationsforspecificfoods.

offsetrackisdenotedin thelist belowandthechartsasan"o"after the racknumber.

Mostbaked goods on cookiesheets,cakes(sheetandlayer).
Use Rack Position #40(offset raek on#4):
Mostbroiling.
Multiple Rack Cooking:
Two rack,use#20 and #4.Three racks,use#1, #30,and #4.(Note: Three
rackbakingis onlypossibleina convectionoven.)
