Parallel/Serial Ports
Execute “Load BIOS Def ault Settings” in B IOS Setup to confirm ports presence be fore diagnosing any parallel/serial
ports problems.
Serial or parallel port loop-back te st failed. 1. Make sure that the LPT# or COM# you test is the same as th e
setting in BIOS Setup.

1. Ensure the Power Switch < 4 sec. in BIOS Setup of Power
Management is not set to Suspend.

1. Ensure the power ov erride switch (situ ated at the back of th e
machine, just above the conn ector for the power cable) is not set
to OFF.
